Sky Bingo great exclusive free offer!

Posted on 02-07-2008 | Posted in Bingo by Gambling Diva

This is just like giving away free cash…!

Read this Sky Bingo review - where they have got a deal for £5 completely free cash to play at Sky Bingo.  You can get another £10 free afterwards but the £5 is no-strings-attached.  If you ever wanted an excuse to play bingo but didn’t want to fork out for it - here’s your chance!

Any winning you take home are yours to keep!  It is a good site, so I would recommend putting in that extra £10 to get a total of £15 free - that makes £25 in total from just £10.  What do you think?

Big Brother is back!!

Posted on 11-06-2008 | Posted in Day to day fun, Betting by Gambling Diva

And for me that means another excuse for a gimmicky punt!  I haven’t decided who my favourite is yet, maybe Luke…?  At the moment he is the 5-1 third favourite at Paddy Power, may put some money on that before he DOESN’T get evicted – when his odds will slim up a little.

Apart from that, I love some of Paddy Power’s specials on the show:

  • Big Brother to organise a foreign exchange programme (with another reality TV show): 3 - 1
  • Jade Goody to enter the house at any time:        10 - 1
  • All of the housemates to be evacuated from the house due to a bombscare:      18 - 1
  • Big Brother to be scrapped after this year:           4 - 1
  • Big Brother to run a weekly anger management class in the house:          12 - 1
  • A ‘Fathers4Justice’ representative to climb on top of the Big Brother roof:            20 - 1
  • A pair of identical twins to enter the house as contestants:          8 - 1
  • A fire to start inside the Big Brother House (Not related to cooking!):      14 - 1
  • Big Brother to give the housemates a Parrot:      20 - 1
  • Exactly four housemates to be evicted in one night (not including the last eviction):         8 – 1

I think there’s a couple of good bets there!

Gala Casino Launch New ‘Live Casino’

Posted on 04-06-2008 | Posted in Casino by Gambling Diva

Gala Casinos have just announced the launch of a ‘live’ casino, embracing the technological advances in video streaming.

Gala Casino users will now be able to sit at their tables and watch the dealer shuffle the cards, spin the roulette wheel and more right in front of their eyes.

With the technology so advanced now, Gala Casino can produce high resolution television quality pictures, with a high frame per second rate for smooth gameplay.  Improved audio quality and speed also means that players can talk to the dealers instantaneously as if they were with them at the casino.

Blackjack and baccarat fans will love being able to see their cards being dealt and shuffled in front of them, with the new pack of cards visably brought out by the Pit Boss.  The same goes for roulette, with each game having multiple camera views on offer to add to the unique experience.

There will also be a ‘full screen option’, which will include on-screen statistics on past bets to aid in future bet decisions.  Table limits help to make the games accessible to all types of players, with a VIP blackjack table to the serious players.

Gaming Director of Gala Casinos said of the launch:  “Live Casino is such an interesting and unique concept to our portfolio that it’s already proven hugely successful with our existing casino players, however we have only scratched the surface in terms of traffic and subsequent sign ups.  Live Casino will undoubtedly make an interesting proposition for affiliates to attract players through their own aggressive marketing campaigns.  In return we are prepared to fully support affiliates with all the relevant marketing collateral and our sophisticated support network will ensure that our partners are paid in full and on time.”

Nearly a month ago an e-lottery syndicate shared considerable win when they  matched the bonus ball and 4 main numbers winning a total of £88,748.
The e-lottery Syndicate System guarantees that each syndicate will match EVERY main number drawn on one line or another, and cos of that they matched a 10 and a 12. This means that they matched 5 balls plus the bonus ball twice. Everyone shared in the total winnings of nearly £90,000 and got a cheque for £1,811.18 each which must have made their day! It seems that it might be better to play in a syndicate than by yourself if you want to be in with a chance of winning more often, but saying that you have to share your winnings with everyone else so its not nearly as much as if you had the big win on your own… mind you not many people would turn their noses up to a win of nearly £2K. One of my mates does it and seems to think its a great idea. What are your thoughts? Is it worth even playing the lottery, not sure what I would do if I were to win millions… whereas £1800 would do me very nicely

Nenad Medic - Winner at WSOP

Posted on 03-06-2008 | Posted in Poker by Gambling Diva

The World Series of Poker is one of the most popular events in the gaming industry, if not the most popular. Many players from all over the world gather regularly to be able to get the chance to sit at the final table and rake in the huge pot money up for grabs at this event. This event used to be shown on national television, and it has since captured the fancy of spectators and players alike. The main point of discussion at this game has always been the pot money followed by the high regard people have of the winners who make it big at this event.

Winner’s Gruelling Battle

One such individual who has wowed the crowd is the player Nenad Medic. The first part of the World Series of Poker so the star of Nenid Medic rose in the first event who has just won the World Championship Pot Limit Hold’em the previous evening where he earned a whopping $794,112. This is almost the same amount an old lady won recently through Mecca Bingo. Compared to this old lady who had only to pick the lucky bingo card and win the pattern asked for, Nenad Medic had to beat nine other poker players in the final table. Before that, he and these nine players had to go through no less than 341 professional and non-professional poker players.

Other Contenders for the Pot

There were other seasoned players on this event which added spice to the game. If you want to think of a celebrity match, then this definitely is what it is. There was Mike Sowers who is a professional poker player. He had long string of online poker victories to his credit such the FTP $1,000 Monday as well as the $1,050 LHE World Championship of Online Poker. The other contenders were Amit Makhija, a Sit n’ Go player known for playing high stakes, Patrik Antonius who happens to be a regular of the Big Game and Mike Sexton, a winner of WSOP bracelet. Other noteworthy opponents were Phil Laak aka “The Unabomber”, also a regular of high stakes poker, and the only female in the table, Kathy Liebert. Among these contenders, the final four were composed of Medic, Liebert, Sexton and Bloch. And these four happens to hold the record for earning over $1 million from poker tournaments. Talk about birds of the same feather flock together.

I’d do Anything….

Posted on 23-05-2008 | Posted in General by Gambling Diva

I just absolutely love that program about 7ish each Sat (i always miss it as I am out and about but can check it out later on my shiny new I player as Graham Norton says).  Samantha is the firm favourite with the online bookies to win,  personally I thought that nieve was gorgeous and a great singer.  I also think that jodie is a good bet too (at 4/1 with Skybet) but some people are saying she is too old .. hardly at 28 or what ever I’d say still a spring chicken.  It looks like Samanthat can do no wrong and her rendition from Wicked last week was just Wicked!  Anyway else going to put a bet on? or is it a done deal already to SAmantha?

PS Talking of reality TV shows anyone see the Apprentice  - just love Raef, so shouldn’t have gone.

Game Village Review

Posted on 23-05-2008 | Posted in Day to day fun, Casino, Betting, Poker, Bingo by Gambling Diva

Having now played at Game Village I can well and truely say I’ve been sucked in!  After reading this Game Village review and finding out that I could claim £20 free without having to deposit I had to try it out!  This promotion applies to all new members, and after you’ve played with the free cash, you can (if you need to!) top up your account with the 200% cash match bonus!

Game Village is different to most online bingo and gaming sites in that it is very much a social network, or social gaming network as they call it.  You really do feel part of the community, and I made a few good friends after just a couple of days playing there!  I guess it really helps that the large number and wide variety of games are so much fun, I just found it hard to leave.

There are far too many games, promotions and prizes etc that there is no point me even starting to go into them!  I recommend you read this Game Village, take the £20 free and try it for yourself!

There really is nothing to lose!

Gala Bingo Ditches National Bingo Game

Posted on 21-05-2008 | Posted in Bingo by Gambling Diva

Gala Bingo is going to pull out of the National Bingo Game from August this year, as reported from the statement given by the biggest UK bingo operator last night.

The company decided that sits time to concentrate on their own jackpot game. This hasn’t been on their list before as the law was different. The recent amendment to the law now allows the rollover prizes, which is why the operator grabbed the opportunity and jumped out of the common piggy bank.

The fact that Gala is going to pull out of the game, is most likely going to cause the National Bingo Game to suffer serious consequences. Gala has one third of the total 500 clubs involved in the game. When it leaves there will be just around 330-340 left to get the big jackpot going.

This is why the jackpot is most likely to become smaller. The average weekly National Bingo Jackpot has been £1 million, with a total of amazing £1 billion being paid out to winners since the game was launched in 1986.

This is most likely going to change now that Gala is out.

What do you think abut that? Is Gala doing the right thing pulling out of such National establishment or is it selfish and Gala is wrong to do so?

Barkley Wants to stop Gambling

Posted on 20-05-2008 | Posted in General by Gambling Diva

Charles Wade Barkley, 45, is a retired American basketball player, who has become a fan of Las Vegas casino gambling. He has not stated that he is going to stop gambling altogether for at least a year or two.

He is already $400,000 in dept to the Vegas Casino and has received a civil complaint from the Wynn Las Vegas Casino.

Before the Spurs-Hornets Game 7 of their Western Conference semifinal series, the basketballer had an interview on the pregame show on Turner Network Television, where he has made this statement: “I gamble probably once every two or three weeks to a month. It’s not like I’m going every day. It’s not like I get up and look at the line in sporting events. I like to go to Vegas. It’s a fun place, but you know what, I’ve got to stop gambling.”

Barkley did not say he has a gambling problem or any money issues. He did not say he is going to stop gambling for good, but gave himself a year or two to live gamble-free life.

“I am not going to gamble anymore,” he said. “For right now, the next year or two, I’m not going to gamble.”

“It was my fault. To me it’s over with. This will never happen, but the bottom line is I’m just never going to gamble again,” Barkley added.

Any comments?
