Crown Bingo will donate 50% of their prize pool to the North East Variety Club’s Children’s Charity, it has been reported.
Crown Bingo decided to demonstrate their corporate social responsibility this Valentine’s day by choosing to donate 50% of their prize pool to the North East Variety Club’s Children’s Charity.
All of the prize polls, that will be in action from 7pm until 9pm on the Valentine’s Day, Thursday 14th, will be cut in half with the fair 50% share going to the children’s charity.
There are also additional £10, which will be donated to the Variety Club, when a new player registers an account with a bonus code ILOVEU. There is also a benefit for the player, who will get a £10 bonus on top.
This is what Dan Smyth, managing director of Crown Bingo, had to say about the generosity his bingo site decided to express on the day of love: “We always like to support a local charity and when we heard about the Variety Club’s Gold Heart Appeal on Valentine’s Day it seemed like a perfect link up.”
Norman Kaphan, Chief Executive for The Variety Club said this: “Whether raising money to build a pediatric unit, donating a Sunshine Coach to a school or taking a group of children on a fun-packed ‘Variety at Work’ day out, Variety Club aims to make a real difference. Pledge your support for The Variety Club and buy a gold heart today.”
Do you think this is a good idea? Do you like when companies that are usually concerned with ethical issues demonstrate their social responsibility, does it make you change your opinion of them? Even a little bit…
