Gala Bingo is going to pull out of the National Bingo Game from August this year, as reported from the statement given by the biggest UK bingo operator last night.
The company decided that sits time to concentrate on their own jackpot game. This hasn’t been on their list before as the law was different. The recent amendment to the law now allows the rollover prizes, which is why the operator grabbed the opportunity and jumped out of the common piggy bank.
The fact that Gala is going to pull out of the game, is most likely going to cause the National Bingo Game to suffer serious consequences. Gala has one third of the total 500 clubs involved in the game. When it leaves there will be just around 330-340 left to get the big jackpot going.
This is why the jackpot is most likely to become smaller. The average weekly National Bingo Jackpot has been £1 million, with a total of amazing £1 billion being paid out to winners since the game was launched in 1986.
This is most likely going to change now that Gala is out.
What do you think abut that? Is Gala doing the right thing pulling out of such National establishment or is it selfish and Gala is wrong to do so?
