Nearly a month ago an e-lottery syndicate shared considerable win when they  matched the bonus ball and 4 main numbers winning a total of £88,748.
The e-lottery Syndicate System guarantees that each syndicate will match EVERY main number drawn on one line or another, and cos of that they matched a 10 and a 12. This means that they matched 5 balls plus the bonus ball twice. Everyone shared in the total winnings of nearly £90,000 and got a cheque for £1,811.18 each which must have made their day! It seems that it might be better to play in a syndicate than by yourself if you want to be in with a chance of winning more often, but saying that you have to share your winnings with everyone else so its not nearly as much as if you had the big win on your own… mind you not many people would turn their noses up to a win of nearly £2K. One of my mates does it and seems to think its a great idea. What are your thoughts? Is it worth even playing the lottery, not sure what I would do if I were to win millions… whereas £1800 would do me very nicely

I’d do Anything….

Posted on 23-05-2008 | Posted in General by Gambling Diva

I just absolutely love that program about 7ish each Sat (i always miss it as I am out and about but can check it out later on my shiny new I player as Graham Norton says).  Samantha is the firm favourite with the online bookies to win,  personally I thought that nieve was gorgeous and a great singer.  I also think that jodie is a good bet too (at 4/1 with Skybet) but some people are saying she is too old .. hardly at 28 or what ever I’d say still a spring chicken.  It looks like Samanthat can do no wrong and her rendition from Wicked last week was just Wicked!  Anyway else going to put a bet on? or is it a done deal already to SAmantha?

PS Talking of reality TV shows anyone see the Apprentice  - just love Raef, so shouldn’t have gone.

Barkley Wants to stop Gambling

Posted on 20-05-2008 | Posted in General by Gambling Diva

Charles Wade Barkley, 45, is a retired American basketball player, who has become a fan of Las Vegas casino gambling. He has not stated that he is going to stop gambling altogether for at least a year or two.

He is already $400,000 in dept to the Vegas Casino and has received a civil complaint from the Wynn Las Vegas Casino.

Before the Spurs-Hornets Game 7 of their Western Conference semifinal series, the basketballer had an interview on the pregame show on Turner Network Television, where he has made this statement: “I gamble probably once every two or three weeks to a month. It’s not like I’m going every day. It’s not like I get up and look at the line in sporting events. I like to go to Vegas. It’s a fun place, but you know what, I’ve got to stop gambling.”

Barkley did not say he has a gambling problem or any money issues. He did not say he is going to stop gambling for good, but gave himself a year or two to live gamble-free life.

“I am not going to gamble anymore,” he said. “For right now, the next year or two, I’m not going to gamble.”

“It was my fault. To me it’s over with. This will never happen, but the bottom line is I’m just never going to gamble again,” Barkley added.

Any comments?

The Game Village - just loving this site

Posted on 14-05-2008 | Posted in Poker, General by Gambling Diva

sorry if I am a bit slow to pick up on this… but jannie just told me of this site where she hangs out called Game Village. Its really fun and there is loads going on, not just bingo and slots and all the usual chat.

If you don’t know about it check out my experience below, and maybe give it a go for yourself too
Game Village is not just online bingo , it’s an online bingo community. As well as some of the best bingo games around, they offer members their own online house and community.

It is now coming up to Game Village’s first birthday (22nd May) and to celebrate they are adding even more new games and promotions.
I love the site, its fun, easy to use and simple to sign up, no messing around on this site. In about a minute players can be become members and begin playing for cash and prizes and you don;t even have to download anything to your computer (hate that!) You also get a free £20 at the mo if you sign up so that can;t be wrong can it?.

Here is what they have to say at Game Village. Let me know what you think? And you can always read a review of Game Village and look at what other bingo and games player are saying about the site but seems it is pretty popular :-)

Game Village offer a whole catalogue of unique games including bingo, slots, casino games and arcade games. All the games are designed built and run by Game Village meaning members have access to exclusive games available on no other site. Here’s a quick run-through of a few of the best of the games:

BINGO, the obvious first choice! The Bingo Hall, known as the Village Inn is well designed and easy to use. Cards can be purchased in advance so that players do not miss out and allowing them to take full advantage of the rest of the site in the meantime. Including in-built chat features the Game Village bingo is up there with the best, providing users with a fun and safe place to play their online bingo. From the home page you can also access another two bingo games, Chip Van Bingo and Elimination Bingo.

Following the Bingo games members can access two of Game Village’s best original games: Dingo and Super Gems. These two simple games are available both as free-play and 50p cash games. As well as these Game Village provide a wealth of online casino games including Slots games. Many of these games provide progressive jackpots and other cash prizes.

When in between games users can take advantage of the Mini-Slots feature. When waiting for a new game to start, at the bottom of the game screen players can play a variety of quick mini-slots so that you’re never bored. Depositing players have access to the cash games which, as already stated, provide great cash prizes and progressive jackpots. Other players, accessing Game Village through the Free Membership can play the points games. By just supplying a few details (no bank details required) members can play games which build up points. The points can then be used to play other games or to enter prize draws with cash prizes available.

Bringing online bingo together with a the social abilities of the internet Game Village provide users with a real life community. Using their virtual village members are provided with their own house after their first three deposits. Becoming a homeowner provides Game Village members with a host of great advantages. Firstly they can hold their own “house parties” whenever they want. House Parties are private bingo meetings where members can invite friends and play exclusive games. Players can also participate in other village activities, site forums and send gifts to friends. One of the new great promotional features available to homeowners is the “Invite a Friend” scheme where they will share a £50 bonus with all friends that join. In similarity with social networking sites members can also create their own detailed profiles and add photos, as well as view friend’s profiles.

With plenty of chat hosts and support advisors online twenty four hours a day, seven days a week making the site safe and fun to play at, as well as their catalogue of superior games and promotions Game Village truly is a great place to play!

FOOTBALL BETTING TIPS

Posted on 10-04-2008 | Posted in Day to day fun, Betting, General by Gambling Diva

Online football betting has become increasingly popular in recent years, becoming punters` third favourite gambling medium after the traditional favourites, horse and greyhound racing. Football offers a plethora of online betting opportunities, including the Premiership, all divisions of the English and Scottish leagues, FA Cup and Champions League along with European leagues and internationals.

Online Fixed Odds Betting

For league and cup games in England, Scotland and various European countries, fixed odds football coupons are offered by all online bookmakers. These coupons offer prices for the home win, away win and draw in each match.

BETTING SYSTEMS

The current “fashion” in fixed odds football betting online is to use some form of betting system or strategy. Many systems and strategies have been devised in an attempt to beat the bookmakers.

Rating Systems

Rating systems are a method of assigning numerical values to the probabilities of the 3 possible outcomes in a football match. There are many rating systems available, particularly online. Almost all systems rely on some sort of points scheme, whereby a team is awarded points depending upon factors including home advantage, league position and recent form. Rating systems range from very simple to extremely complex, depending on which factors are taken into consideration in determining the ratings. Listing all the available systems would be impossible and probably fruitless, as the performance of different rating systems varies from season to season. Rating system software (some free) is available online, which can take the drudgery out of the “number-crunching” aspects of rating systems.

PROBABILITY & VALUE BETS

The key to successful football betting is the correct determination of the probabilities of the possible outcomes of a match. Obviously, a match result depends on a great number of different factors, and it would be unreasonable to suggest that any system could consider them all. However, there are several fundamental factors (which may appear obvious, but are often overlooked), which should be taken into consideration when assessing a match, including:

1. League position

A team`s league position is a general reflection of its overall ability.

2. Recent form

Winning has a positive psychological effect on players. A team in the middle of a “hot streak” is likely to perform better than one on a long losing run.

3. Injuries

Injuries to key players will affect a team`s performance.

4. Consistency

For a variety of reasons (bigger squads etc.) top teams can be expected to perform at about the same level, week in, week out. Some lesser teams can prove to be inconsistent, following an excellent performance with a dismal one. Furthermore, some teams are excellent at home, but very poor away.
Based on any information considered relevant, the idea is to calculate your own probabilities and hence prices on a given match. If an online bookmaker`s price is higher than your calculation, this represents a value bet. There are several other points that may aid successful online football betting:

1. Use the same stake for each bet.

2. Bet on single matches. Successful accumulators can provide a high return for a small outlay, but are rarely successful. In terms of long-term profit, they are a recipe for disaster.

3. Keep a record of your bets. This will enable you to keep track of the success level of your betting over a period.

4. For most online football punters, it makes sense to concentrate on teams for which information is freely available. However, some punters become experts in lower level football, e.g. non-league games, for which prices are now freely available. This may give an advantage over the bookmaker, whose odds compilers tend to concentrate on higher-level games, which are a more popular betting medium.

FREE TIPS

Many online sites offer free tips on football, including Premiership, FA Cup and international matches, including Euro 2008 online betting. Such sites claim various levels of long-term profit. For punters with limited time, these online sites may prove a valuable resource, as they do much of the mundane, time-consuming research. It is recommended that punters wishing to use such sites try out several, keeping stakes to a minimum, until the most reliable tipping site is determined.

Bingo in Disguise!!!

Posted on 27-02-2008 | Posted in Bingo, General by Gambling Diva

Just read this article, which seems very interesting, that is if you get fascinated by little legal loopholes that have always existed and made law practice a little harder.

There are these electronic machines, right… They work like slots, look like slots, some of them have spinning cherries and bar icons, but somehow they have been considered “bingo games” and were left legal even after slots were banned.

Well now some lawmakers are keen to get slots back to use the profits for certain social aspect. There is a November referendum lined up, which will reveal the results from votes “for” and “against” slot machines coming back. Some officials feel that the sole existence of so called “bingo games” is going to influence voters’ decision of whether to say yes or no to bringing back slots.

Sen. Thomas “Mac” Middleton is the governor of Southern Maryland, where these machines have spread incredibly and are now present in nearly every single bar and club and other social get-togethers.

Here is how he feels the presence of the machines will influence the November referendum outcome: “Some of us feel it puts the whole [slot machine] referendum in jeopardy. People see the machines cropping up everywhere and will say that they don’t want them anywhere. Others might say, ‘Well, I like slot machines just where they are now, I don’t need to go to any of the tracks, so why should I vote for it?’”

The second reason is the competitiveness of such machines to lottery, meaning the revenue gets split between the two, but instead of the profits going towards infrastructure and social services’ improvement in the lottery case, the profits are going to private owners and operators of these electronic machines.

Here are the words of Miller, one of the officials, who is trying to push the legalization of the slots: “These machines have sprung up almost like a disease. These are counterfeit slots, but the money goes to private entrepreneurs. It doesn’t benefit the state.”

There id nevertheless an opposing side on one hand consisting of owners and operators of tese machines, who obviously do not want to wave goodbye to the profits; on the other hand there are officials who managed to strictly regulate these machines in their starts and use the profits towards education and emergency services. There is also a third party that would stand strongly for having these machines, which is the non-profits organizations that fully or mostly rely on the revenues made from these little electronic gismos..

So here is the dilemma – How would you resolve this issue? Would you vote for or against slots? Would you leave “bingo Games” or get rid of them?
