How to make money from betting exchanges

I discovered that using betting exchanges is a better route to making money than placing bets with a conventional bookmaker. I always knew that the art of making a book was to make it “balance” if it does not they will not make any money, so by offering odds that do not represent the probably outcome ensure they made money and not me. Of course I came up with the occasional winner but not often enough for me.
As someone who converted to using the betting exchange instead of the bookmaker, I am not interested in how it works, I am just amazed that it took so long to invent and regret all the years that I have kept the “bookie” in a high style of living at mine and other punters expense, with odds making it impossible for me to make money betting. I have heard all the excitement about race fixing concerning the betting exchanges, but I have found them to be an excellent way for me to make money using them.
I looked into the basic principle of the betting exchange and found that it worked in a similar way to the Tote which has been around for a very long time; the betting exchange came about through the birth of the computer giving access to online betting. I use the betting exchange as a tool for me to make money and I do this by betting against other punters, my opinion against theirs, and no bookmaker giving me his odds.
I found out, through use of the internet and by talking to friends, that it is very easy to use a betting exchange which is a very competitive place. I also discovered that found out though, that it is important that you search around for the best online betting exchange because commission, which you have to pay on your winnings, can vary from around 2% upwards but for me I pay when I win and not on any money that I stake, in other words, when I back two horses in a single race and one wins, I only pay commission on the winnings less my total stake on both runners. Because I make money on the betting exchanges, I would never consider returning to my former ways and taking what odds the bookmaker decided to offer to me.

Hi there I hvae been playing at Betfair which is the leading online betting exchange and I think that its brilliant. Most of the time I can get much better odds than you would through betting with traditional bookies, and there is always someone who will take your odds - everyone is a winner. the only problem that I have with the exchanges like Mansion or Betfair is that it takes a bit of time to get used to and a bit of time to do the deal. However seeing as I ahve also managed to lay my bets I am making a tidy little profit from Betfair and subsidising my student days
Get on it!

I use BetFair too and it’s awesome. Like Jonnie said it takes a while to get used to it but once you do the odds are a lot better!
